Flags of Freedom

What is Flags of Freedom?
The Display of over 1000 – 3×5 American flags honors important groups: Children who have lost their lives because of neglect and abuse; Military who served and are presently serving; and the First Responders – Firefighters, Police, and EMS.

The flags will fly on the grounds of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church, on the 45 Bypass in Jackson.  The dates for the 2024 display have not been determined yet.  (Tentatively November 9th thru 23rd, 2024.)

The dedication ceremony date has not been determined yet.  (Tentatively November 12th, 2024 at 12:00 noon.)   Depending on the weather it will either be held on the church grounds, or in the church sanctuary.

Child Abuse is a serious growing problem affecting more than 3 million of our nation’s children annually and over 6,200 individuals locally.  Members of the Jackson Exchange Club wish to bring awareness to this problem by utilizing our flag as the symbol of our nation’s unity.

The Jackson Exchange Club supports child abuse prevention, youth scholarships, patriotism, and other community service projects, therefore, striving to make Jackson and Madison County a stronger community.
